This romantic, historic medieval castle is unique in its locale and is ideally situated between Milan and Genoa in northern Italy's Piedmonte region. Castello Torre Ratti is 50 miles south of Milan and 25 miles north of Genoa, a few minutes from the Milan-Genoa highway (A7).

The Piedmonte region is well known for the wonderful red wines produced also the famous white wines of Gavi produced on the hills. The typical local family cooking restaurants are considered to be the best in northern Italy.


The valley is 20 miles long with its' river and mountains offering skiing, hunting, horseback riding, and, of course, many golf courses to play. Excursions in the woods, visits to ancient medieval villages or even Roman ruins, recently discovered just 5 minutes from the castle, make for an enlightening afternoon.

Castello Torre Ratti is also a great point of departure for a day of shopping in Milan and other areas of interest in the nearby Lombardia region. You're also just minutes from Genoa and the Italian Mediterranean coast, in the Liguria Region , to visit Portofino, Santa Margherita and Monte Carlo. Many people spend their weekends and/or holidays in this area, which can be reached easily by highway from Castello Torre Ratti.
